i think that ill start giving some backgrounds to the art im doing as the blank white back looks a little boring, ill probably be pretty shite at first as ive mostly focused on characters but im gunna practise a lot and do my best!

If you are more interested in doing characters rather than backgrounds, plain white in the back is fine. Before you start struggling with highly detailed backgrounds, try some simple shapes or gradients behind your characters.
